Nantucket Skating Club (NSC) is dedicated to creating opportunities for skaters of all ages and abilities to learn, grow, and enjoy being on the ice. Our goal is to provide a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment where skaters can build confidence, develop their skills, and discover a love for skating.
From a skater’s very first steps through figure skating, synchronized skating, performances, and competitions, we’re proud to support each skater along their journey. More than anything, we strive to build a strong skating community where every skater feels encouraged, included, and excited to be on the ice.
Our Mission
Nantucket Skating Club is a non-profit with a 501(c)3 . Our mission is to provide affordable, healthy, safe skating experiences for children, youth and adults through skating programs and events at Nantucket Ice.
Our Skating Community
Being on Nantucket makes our skating community truly special. As a small island, we have the opportunity to create a close-knit environment where skaters, families, and coaches support one another both on and off the ice. Our goal is to continue growing skating on Nantucket and give local skaters opportunities to learn, perform, compete, and be part of a team without losing the strong sense of community that makes our island unique.
Our Affiliation & Partnerships
Nantucket Skating Club is proud to be affiliated with U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA. Through Learn to Skate USA, we provide skaters with a strong foundation and the skills they need to confidently take their next steps on the ice.
We are also proud to work alongside the Nantucket Hockey Foundation and Nantucket Youth Hockey to create a welcoming Learn to Skate program for our island community. Whether a skater’s goal is to continue into figure skating, hockey, or simply enjoy being on the ice, we are committed to helping every skater build confidence, develop their skills, and find the path that is right for them.
Where We Skate
Nantucket Skating Club is proud to call Nantucket Ice our home rink. Located right here on the island, Nantucket Ice provides our skaters with a place to learn, practice, grow, and come together as a skating community.
Our Learn to Skate classes, figure skating programs, synchronized skating practices, clinics, and special events are held at Nantucket Ice throughout the year.
